Last night we were all gathered by the fireplace watching the new Pixar movie, when Ellie started to walk around the room and sniff....well she walked right over to her empty food bowl, squatted over it and then peed!! It's like she was toilet training or something!! I've never seen anything like it....

What Would Scooby Doo?

Nobody Likes Tony Pony....

....is at the printers! I picked 24 (actually 26) of my favoritest strips from this past year and put 'em together in a neat little comical book package. Massive props and thank yous to my pals Josh Alves, who designed this cover and also the cover to "More Than Sparrows" and Megazeen head honcho Joey Endres for helping me prepare the art and for hooking me up with a great printer. I'm sure the books will be available for sale at MZ and Blindwolf Studios soon.....maybe 2 weeks? Also, I haven't forgotten about poor Kuzzah, just been busy with strips about Tony and Tyler and some new characters. Everytime I try to do something else, I think to myself that will just be one less strip I get to do about Tony and then I just totally freeze. Major writers block for anything else! I think once the current Fearnots storyline wraps, I may try to put all of these guys under one roof ala' Peanuts or something? Found a ton of archival stuff...even a letter from Gordon Prior who had me on his local Public access television program a few years ago. It's on VHS if anyone knows how to convert that sort of thing? Then you too can watch my big ole 90s stache in action! Magnum P.I. baby!! Here's a random doodle from my little sketchbook....I was talking to Kneon about my love for "G.I.Joe" and mentioned a tribute book I was thinking about....Here's the first official sketch for "Fort James" and a Tony cover in glorious orange....

This is an excerpt from an extremely rare Tony Pony mini-comic....a goofy little story called "the journey to redram" and an awesome back up story by my old pal Eugene. Wonder what the heck he's been up to?

Also, here's an old magazine article. The t-shirt I'm wearing was made in South Carolina when Kristy and I were on our Honeymoon. I gave the guy my drawing and he made the shirt...I wish I knew where it was??

Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese

I am kicking around the idea of doing a giant "Tony Pony" omnibus. A VERY limited edition of every Tony story I ever did....I've been drawing mini-comics and other stories about him since 1995! The old 3 issue mini series that nobody has - not even me - my Grandmama has 'em though! The "crew cut" Tony Pony in New York comic that a few people have and the "I wish it had been in Big Honkin' Bug Nut" story that featured Paul B. Onion's super secret origin (before he became a lying adulterer)from 1997. I let a few people talk me out of putting that one in there. Also, I recently rediscovered all the Ragamuffin Cartoonist stories I did when Tyler was just a wee lil' spoot....Anyhoo - also various articles from around Richmond (there's been like 5 or 6? in one photo I have a giant mustache) and gobs upon gobs of doodles...it would kinda be like a scrapbook for Tyler. I imagine it would clock in around 400 pages or so....anyways, that's what I'm thinking....these pups would be limited and I am considering it....then I gots to get my butt in gear and finish up the Fearnots storyline....Yeesh...

new shirt

If you were to visit my bands website @ whoshotgoliath dot com and then clicked on "photos". You would see three photographs from 3 different concerts. And I am wearing the same thing in all 3 photos?!? Now I washed my shirt so it was clean but people are going to start to wonder about me....so I need to draw up a new cartoon shirt, send it to zazzle and extend my wardrobe collection. Yeah, that's what I need to do....oh shoot, even the video (that's 4 different concerts) and I'm wearing the same shirt and the same blue hard rock cafe hat....
