The Future!!

We're coming up on the 2 year anniversary of Cody the Cavalier online comics.  What started as a subtle tribute to Ziggy has transformed into something else entirely.  After putting comics up on blogger for nearly 2 years, Cody is about to get a major facelift!  I've hired someone to put together a professional looking site for me.   In just a few weeks you will see something awesome when you log onto codythecavalier dot com :)  The guy that designed the "Heropotamus" site a few years ago is working with me on this project!  So excited!  The Pig Bat storyline will continue but I'm still trying to decide if it will be updated weekly or daily?  Still up in the air about that decision.  Developing this character has been a real treat for me - I love the little guy and can't wait to get started on this new direction.  A lot of the PigBat artwork has never been published online because I've been reworking, revising, tweaking, etc.  I want it to be right.  Please remember you can still order Cody's first comic book collection - look to your right for that info and Cody t-shirts ($10/ea) and Cody buttons ($1/ea) are available directly from me.  My Paypal address is jamieandkristy@yahoo.com.  Thanks for stopping by and hang on tight - this is going to be a lot of fun!!

Update!! Cody the Cavalier and the Very Kind Pigbat

I've been quietly working on a new Cody the Cavalier cartoon book and I have completed 35 pages so far.  I'm expecting it to be around 50-60 pages long.  It's a fun little romp involving Cody, a pigbat, some trolls and the evil wizard Dru Variant.  It's a non-linear story with lots and lots of energy mostly told without words.  I'm really excited because I plan to produce a very limited number of handmade books - should be available by the end of the month in my Etsy site.  I'll keep you posted.  Here's a sneak peek.....

Charlotte HeroesCon Recap

Back from the Greatest Comic Show on Earth!  Kicking things off with my one and only (also blurry) photo of the table at HeroesCon.   I managed to sell 16 mini-paintings, my Cody the Cavalier painting and the Giant Bananasaurus painting found an awesome home.  I drew tons of commissions for wonderful friends (you rock, Shannon!), sold quite a few books and met Jeffrey Brown -  picked up his Incredible Change-Bots 2 book (It's hilarious:).  I was neighbors once again with Thom Zahler (Love and Capes) guy http://thomz.com/ .   We had a lovely Saturday evening with some high school friends - thanks for the Shrimp Tacos Whitbys!!  A very special thank you to the family that brought me the Super Goofs I didn't have!  That was truly a blessing!  Thanks to everyone at Heroes that makes this con possible.  Thanks to Tyler for not spending ALL of the money he had - Thanks to Jon and Jacob for hanging with us - and of course Thanks to Kristy for being so awesome and supportive - Love you!  Can't wait until next year!!!  New Cody this Wednesday!!!
